Band To Tour With Every Time I Die In 2013

(New York, NY) - Boston, Massachusetts based Vanna have entered the recording studio to begin work on their sophomore full length album for Artery Recordings/Razor & Tie. The new studio album will be titled The Few and the Far Between and will be released in 2013. The band is working at Getaway Recordings in Boston (Haverhill) Massachusetts with producer Jay Maas. Maas also produced Vanna’s first Artery Recordings release, their 2010 EP The Honest Hearts.

Vanna lead vocalist Davey Muise comments, "With all the touring we've done especially this past year and all the time away from home, not only did it make for great writing time and lyrical ammo, it made us want to do the next record at home. For the sound and direction we were going Jay was a no brainer for us. Doing The Honest Hearts EP with jay was so easy and comfortable; we wanted to see what a full record with our dude would be like. We are psyched to see what Jay and the band will do with TFATFB. We will have a full recording blog with pictures and videos all on vannaboston.com so everyone can follow along with this record as it comes alive."

Vanna is also confirmed to tour with Every Time I Die in 2013 along with The Acacia Strain, Vanna, Hundreth, No Bragging Rights. The tour kicks off on February 6th in Chicago, IL and wraps on March 16th in Allentown, PA. Vanna will also perform in the Annual "Home For The Holidays" Tour this December with an eclectic mix of bands from the Northeast (all tour dates below).

Vanna's new album will be their second full length album for Artery Recordings /Razor & Tie. Vanna released And They Came Baring Bones in the summer of 2011 to critical and commercial success. And They Came Baring Bones debuted at #8 on the Billboard New Artist Chart and #22 on the Billboard Hard Music Chart. JEFF ZAKIM JOINS RAZOR & TIE AS DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL MARKETING

(New York, NY) - Jeff Zakim has been named Director of Digital Marketing for Razor & Tie, based at the company's headquarters in New York City. He joins the label with an extensive background in digital marketing and E-Commerce. Jeff Zakim will report to Razor & Tie Senior Vice President of Marketing, John Franck.

Jeff Zakim was recently with Ruckus Media Group where he served as Marketing Director. There he oversaw marketing and communications strategies and campaigns for a large catalog of multi-platform mobile products as well as managed multiple web and social media properties. Zakim was with EMI Music from 2001 through 2011 where he held a variety of positions within the EMI Music label family. During these years, Zakim helped spearhead digital marketing efforts for a variety of prestigious artists including 30 Seconds To Mars, Alice In Chains, Katy Perry, Sarah Brightman, The Decemberists and also a variety of Blue Note frontline projects like Norah Jones, Amos Lee, Al Green and Blue Note's esteemed catalogue re-issues.

As Senior Director, Global Digital Marketing at EMI Music he was responsible for development, execution, and analysis of all digital strategy and digital marketing campaigns for the global music and entertainment organization. He also oversaw all the direct-to-Consumer and mobile applications business units for North America. Prior to that Zakim was the Senior Director, E-Commerce & Internet Marketing at EMI Music and Blue Note Records where he developed and managed digital strategy for artists, projects, brand, and social media properties. He oversaw the artist, label and brand web sites, e-commerce & mobile strategies and platforms, online marketing campaigns and digital revenue streams. Jeff began his career at EMI as a New Media Marketing Manager.

Prior to EMI Music, Zakim was Director, Music Marketing & Partner Relations for CustomDisc, Inc. / iMix.com from 1999 until 2001. There he developed and implemented marketing and music branding campaigns, promotions and strategic partnerships. Zakim was the Manager of Label Operations at TWISTED America Records (MCA) from 1996 through 1999 and was the New York HQ Manager for I.R.S. Records prior to that. Zakim began his music career in 1995 as a Retail Marketing Associate at AIM Marketing.

Jeff Zakim is a graduate of Towson State University, Towson, Maryland.
