"Zappa Plays Zappa is total truth in advertising: a fantastic band led by guitarist Dweezil Zappa, dedicated to performing the music of his late father with exacting precision." - ROLLING STONE

"Frank Zappa is a tough guy to explain, but that doesn't mean Dweezil isn't trying. With Zappa Plays Zappa, the eccentric guitarist and composer's son is keeping his nu-rock tunes alive. Rather than a lame tribute, ZPZ showcases the elder's enigmatic depth and the younger's endearing respect." - PHILADELPHIA CITY PAPER

Dweezil Zappa continues to keep the amazing music of his father alive with the June 22nd release of Return Of The Son Of..., a sprawling two-disc live collection of 14 Frank Zappa classics performed lovingly by the Zappa Plays Zappa band. The album was produced by Dweezil and recorded over the last 2 years with a majority of the songs captured at a three-night residency at The Morse Theatre in Chichago in October 2008.

Return Of The Son Of... follows up the 2008 album Zappa Plays Zappa which won a Grammy Award that year for Best Rock Instrumental Performance.

Over the past five years, Dweezil has been on a grass roots campaign to expose his father's music to a wider audience with the Zappa Plays Zappa project, and in the process educate the audiences to the musical depth beyond the humorous songs that may have accidentally been broadcast on radio. Too often, he says, people's opinions of Frank's work are based on casual exposure to his "novelty" crossover songs. "If the only thing you've ever heard is 'Dancin' Fool' or 'Don't Eat the Yellow Snow' or 'Valley Girl'," says Dweezil, "then you really haven't even scratched the surface of Frank's music. In our shows we make a concerted effort to give people a broader perspective of his music and it really speaks for itself."

In support of Return Of The Son Of..., Dweezil and the band are gearing up for a continuation of the acclaimed Zappa Plays Zappa tour that kicks off on June 3rd in Mexico City. The dates will run through the end of July, with a schedule of fall dates soon to be announced. Dweezil is also in the midst of producing an as-yet-untitled DVD for a fall release.

I Declare War's self-produced album, Malevolence, will be released on June 8th as part of the Artery Recordings/Razor & Tie joint venture. The Seattle-based death metal/metalcore band agrees that the new album is their heaviest and most focused record to date. Fans can look forward to a heavy and aggressive album that speaks to a variety of subject matters the band finds corrupt in today's world.

Malevolence was recorded at Red Room Recordings in the band's hometown of Seattle with engineer Chris Common, who also edited and mixed the album. When discussing the album, guitarist Evan Hughes states, "The lyrics are based on a lot of what we think is corrupt in the world today - government, religion, and the self-inflicted downfall of humanity. The title reflects the overall feeling of the lyrics and a basic view of how we see the world today." The album can be preordered now at or in a variety of different packages, including a selection of official I Declare War t-shirts. I Declare War is currently on a short tour with Whitechapel and Son of Aurelius, which Hughes says, "Is going to be great for getting our name out there a little more and promoting some of the new songs from the album." This summer they will embark on tour with Molotov Solutio, Dr. Acula, and Monsters.

I Declare War is comprised of Jonathan Huber (vocals), Evan Hughes (guitar), Chris Fugate (guitar), Brent Eaton (bass), and Ryan Cox (drums). Founded in 2005, the band has gone through a few lineup changes but now feel they have attained the sound they had been looking for. They have previously released their first full length album, Amidst The Bloodshed, in 2008 through Compton Records. Hughes also reflects the band's sentiment towards the Artery/Razor & Tie imprint when he says, "Everyone at Artery and Razor & Tie have been extremely helpful and awesome to work with so far. There are only good things coming up for us, so we can't wait to see where it all takes us."
