(New York, NY) - Simon Collins will make his U.S. television debut with an appearance on the CBS Saturday Early Show on December 27th. Performing songs from his U.S. debut album, U-CATASTROPHE, Collins will showcase his unique blend of genres ranging from pop and rock to electronic music. His first single, "Unconditional," has reached #12 on the R&R AC Radio Chart, receiving great play at key stations WLIT/Chicago, KVIL/Dallas, KRWM/Seattle, and WMJX/Boston. Released a few months ago, Collins has been featured in People Magazine, US Weekly, Modern Drummer, and Billboard raved Collins "has a knack for crafting instantly recognizable pop melodies."

Simon follows in his father, Phil Collins,' musical footsteps. He picked up the drumsticks at a very early age and eventually began playing guitar and piano, honing and crafting his original material. For Collin's U.S. debut release, U-CATASTROPHE, he teamed with producer/engineer Kevin Churko, 2008 Juno Award winner for "Producer of the Year." Standout tracks include "Disappearing" and "Powerless," as well as more tender moments on songs "Us (love transcends)" and "Unconditional." One of the album's shining moments is "The Big Bang," a bombastic and inventive instrumental track which sees Simon teaming with his father for the very first time. DRUM Magazine described the song as "a barbaric, Reznor-esque, six minute stomp through dense, concussive jungles."

(New York, NY) - It's been quite the year for Athens, GA five-piece Dead Confederate. After bursting on the scene with their critically-acclaimed full-length debut, WRECKING BALL, the band has been touring across the country, currently on the last leg home with fellow Georgians Manchester Orchestra.

In the wake of their television debut on Late Night With Conan O'Brien, as well as being one of Rolling Stone's "Six Artists To Watch," Dead Confederate has been chosen as a nominee for Yahoo! Music's "Who's Next" User's Choice competition. The video for their single, "The Rat," will be featured for a month on Yahoo! Music. The artist with the most will get an opportunity to be a featured artist with an interview and performance on the Who's Next? Yahoo! Music homepage. The video for "The Rat" will also be featured on MTV2 "Subterranean" and MTVU, and will be part of FUSE TV's "Free Music" and "The Worm" programs. Dead Confederate's brand new video for "Start Me Laughing" was also recently added into rotation at Pitchfork TV.

"The Rat" has been added by major rock stations across the country this week including KNDD/Seattle, KBZT/San Diego, WEQX/Albany, KWOD/Sacramento, WARQ/Columbia and KNRK Portland. The album has reached #34 on the Top 200 CMJ Charts with big support from KEXP. Dead Confederate also did a recent live performance and interview at WOXY.

Dead Confederate is the first artist Gary Gersh, A&R legend and founder of The Artist's Organization, signed to his new imprint. The band released a self-titled EP in late 2007. The EP garnered immediate attention and the band found themselves opening for R.E.M. at SXSW, as well as sharing the stage with Dinosaur Jr., Yeasayer, the Black Angels, Deerhunter and Black Lips among others. Their 2008 full length follow-up release, WRECKING BALL, was produced by Mike McCarthy (Spoon, Trail of Dead) and has received rave reviews.

(New York, NY) - Razor & Tie Entertainment will release music from the motion picture soundtrack HOTEL FOR DOGS on January 13th. The 11-track album includes songs by Dragonette, Motion City Soundtrack, Uh Huh Her, Rachel Yamagata, and many others. The film's stars Lisa Kudrow and Kevin Dillion also sing two short songs featured in the film and soundtrack.

Hotel For Dogs opens nationwide on January 16th and stars Emma Roberts, Jake T. Austin, Kyla Pratt with Lisa Kudrow, Kevin Dillon and Don Cheadle. The smart, funny comedy adventure, centers around a group of kids who stumble upon an abandoned hotel and transform it into a magical dog-paradise for their own dog and eventually for all of his friends.

This release follows Razor & Tie Entertainment's recent soundtrack success with the platinum motion picture soundtrack to the Fox mega-hit Alvin and the Chipmunks as well as the soundtrack to the Warner Premiere release Another Cinderella Story (starring Selena Gomez and Drew Seeley).

"Be a KIDZ BOP Star" Winners to Perform in Nationally-Promoted Music Video

(New York, NY) - Kids across the country have voted and selected the winners in the second annual "Be a Kidz Bop Star" talent competition from KIDZ BOP. Best known for its music sung by kids for kids, KIDZ BOP celebrates the unique, authentic voice of every kid through chart-topping CDs, a live national concert tour and an interactive web community. The "Be a KIDZ BOP Star" competition invites kids ages 15 and under to upload their videos to, audition virtually and campaign to be one of four "KIDZ BOP Stars."

The votes have been tabulated and kid fans from around the country have selected four Grand Prize winners:
- Shelby Miguel (age 13) from Daly City, CA
- Brandon Michael Stahlbusch (age 14) from Ardmore, OK
- Ashley Flite (age 13) from Fairless Hills, PA
- Paisley Ellis (age 12) from Myrtle Beach, SC

The winners in this "kid-generated" promotion were among 15 semifinalists chosen by KIDZ BOP out of nearly 3,000 total entries to the competition. "In the first two years of this event, we've seen an incredible level of participation, receiving twice as many entries this year as last year," said Sandi Hemmerlein, Vice President of Marketing. "Anything over a few hundred entries is impressive for user-generated-based contests, which require not only talent but also the ability to shoot and upload a video. Obviously, these kids were up for the challenge."

Each winner will co-star in an official KIDZ BOP music video, which will be shot in January in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos during a Luxury Included® family vacation at Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages and Spa, which they also won as part of their Grand Prize. In addition, KIDZ BOP has selected Shelby to star in her own webshow, which will debut on early next year.

"Since many of our most popular webshows on feature real kids who were discovered by the 'Be a KIDZ BOP Star' search last year, we decided to make it an official part of the event this year," said Hemmerlein. "Shelby already has shown lots of creativity and energy in addition to her singing ability, so we can't wait to see what she comes up with next for her webshow."

Shelby's new series and behind-the-scenes video from the winners' shoot will also be available on the new KIDZ BOP-dedicated video-on-demand (VOD) channel, available on the country's #1 cable system, Comcast, whose VOD service is currently available in 30 million homes. The channel features webshows from KIDZ BOP TV, music videos, user-generated content, as well as footage from the KIDZ BOP tour and other KIDZ BOP-related material available 24/7. (New York, NY) - In last night's announcement ceremony for the 51st annual Grammy Awards, Razor & Tie Entertainment received three nominations. Joan Baez's album, DAY AFTER TOMORROW was recognized for Contemporary Folk/Americana Album, "Peaches En Regalia" from the album ZAPPA PLAYS ZAPPA was recognized for Best Rock Instrumental Performance and IN THE HEIGHTS was recognized for Best Musical Show Album.

Celebrating her 50th year in the music industry, Joan Baez has received eight gold albums, seven Grammy nominations and in 2006 was honored with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. DAY AFTER TOMORROW (Bobolink/Razor & Tie), Baez's 24th studio album (first album since 2003), was produced by last year's winner in the Contemporary Folk/Americana category, Steve Earle. (New York, NY) - New York's most outrageous rock band, Semi Precious Weapons (SPW) will be featured in an hour long episode of the Emmy Award winning series MTV's MADE on December 6th (2:00 PM ET). Frontman, Justin Tranter, leads the band on a journey where they coach an aspiring teenager in the art of being a rock star, running an accessory business and working in the music industry. SPW was also just named on the iTunes Best of 2008 list for Best Rock Albums- New Artist.

The video for the band's first single, "Magnetic Baby," was filmed during MTV's MADE and the episode features the first look at the footage. The show also includes guest appearances by Mark Hoppus of Blink182/+44 and Panic at the Disco. MADE ( chronicles the challenges and accomplishments that young people face as they attempt a life-changing transformation.
