SINGER KELLY SWEET PERFORMS FOR GOVERNOR ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER AND FIRST LADY MARIA SHRIVER AT THE CAPITOL TREE LIGHTING CELEBRATION

SINGER KELLY SWEET PERFORMS FOR GOVERNOR ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER AND FIRST LADY MARIA SHRIVER AT THE CAPITOL TREE LIGHTING CELEBRATION

(New York, NY) - Last week Razor & Tie recording artist Kelly Sweet was selected to sing for California state Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and First Lady Maria Shriver at the 75th annual California State Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting. Sweet performed her versions of the Christmas classics, "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and "Silent Night" to a standing room only crowd. The ceremonies, which also included performances by GRAMMY-winning vocalist Anita Baker, was hosted by The Insider's Pat O'Brien and took place on Tuesday, December 5th.

Kelly's versions of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and "Silent Night" are currently available on iTunes and have been making quite an impact at radio. "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" is the #30 most played current song at A/C radio and can be heard on stations nationwide such as WMGF/Orlando, WYJB/Albany and KEZK/St. Louis.

Her debut album, WE ARE ONE, is due out on March 6th, 2007. The first single, "Raincoat", ships to radio in January. The music video for the single was recently shot with noted video director Todd Strauss-Shulson (Five For Fighting) and will be distributed to online and broadcast outlets in the new year.

Kelly Sweet's music conveys a sense of depth, intimacy and sophistication not often heard in today's pop landscape. Like such stylistically diverse artists as Norah Jones, Josh Groban and Dido, Sweet is that rare singer that combines unassailable credibility and talent with an uncanny ability to connect with a wide audience of music fans. Kelly's debut WE ARE ONE was produced and co-written by Grammy-nominated producer Mark Portmann (Josh Groban, Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera).

THE LAURIE BERKNER BAND
RETURNS TO NOGGIN'S JACK'S BIG MUSIC SHOW
WITH REGULAR PERFORMANCES IN NEW SEASON

Season Two Of Hit Music Show For Preschoolers
Premieres Saturday, January 6
New Tour Dates Added For 2007

"It's hard to find an artist so instantly beloved by tots."
-The Los Angeles Times, November 2006

The Laurie Berkner Band with Susie Lampert and Adam Bernstein will return to NOGGIN's hit preschool series Jack's Big Music Show next year. The commercial-free, educational preschool network from Nickelodeon will kick off the second season of its original half-hour music show on January 6, 2007 at 12:00 P.M. (EST).

Laurie Berkner, keyboardist Susie Lampert and bassist Adam Bernstein are series regulars, and are featured in almost every episode of season two. The band will perform in several music videos including two new songs, "The Farm" and "Rocketship Run." Laurie also appears in two episodes of Jack's Big Music Show in which she sings original songs at Jack's clubhouse, "Little Rhythm," and "Let's Samba."

Jack's Big Music Show, produced by Spiffy Pictures for NOGGIN, is a live-action series hosted by Jack, a preschooler puppet and his cast of friends who play every day in his clubhouse. The mission of Jack's Big Music Show is to expose and foster an appreciation of music in young children. The series is a platform for kids' music and features videos and in-studio performances by guest musicians every week.

"I want to go to Jack's clubhouse!" said Brown Johnson, EVP, Executive Creative Director, Nickelodeon Preschool and General Manager of NOGGIN. "Jack makes learning about music fun and season two will introduce a new, diverse group of amazing musicians who raise the bar for quality preschool music."

The Laurie Berkner Band made their debut on NOGGIN in 2004 with a series of six music videos airing throughout the day's programming as part of the network's Move To The Music series.

Laurie, Susie and Adam recently made their first-ever appearance at the 80th Anniversary Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade?. The band performed on Fisher-Price's "Magic of Childhood" float. Laurie's songs will be featured on a software cartridge that accompanies a Fisher-Price sing-along, interactive learning system, which is scheduled to hit stores in the fall of 2007. It will be an updated version of the current, award-winning product, Learn Through Music Plus. In its fifth year on the market, this innovative learning platform teaches a fundamental preschool curriculum through the rhythm, rhyme and repetition of song.

The band performed this year on Good Morning America, The Today Show and Live With Regis & Kelly. Widely recognized as the most popular children's recording artist in the United States, Laurie's intelligent songwriting, captivating vocals and infectious melodies have won not only legions of little fans but parents, who enjoy the music as much as their kids.

The band's first-ever DVD, "We are . . . The Laurie Berkner Band" (Two Tomatoes Records/Razor & Tie Entertainment/Starbucks Hear Music) was released in February of this year. It has been certified triple platinum, and is fast approaching quadruple platinum status. A collection of 11 new music videos, "We are . . . The Laurie Berkner Band" is packaged with a bonus CD of five songs (including a brand-new track, her first on CD since 2002).

Laurie recently made the decision to resume live performances after taking an extended hiatus to spend time with her young daughter. The band marked its first public performances of 2006 this fall with sold-out concerts on the East Coast.

MUSIC ICON DION AND AWARD-WINNING PERFORMER JOHN LITHGOW RECEIVE GRAMMY NOMINATIONS

RAZOR & TIE DISTRIBUTED LABEL SH-K-BOOM/GHOSTLIGHT
NABS ONE FOR "THE DROWSY CHAPERONE"

(New York, NY) - In today's announcement ceremony for the 49th annual Grammy Awards, rock n' roll legend Dion was recognized in the category of Best Traditional Blues Album for his Razor & Tie release BRONX IN BLUE. This marks Dion's second Grammy nomination ever. John Lithgow was recognized in the category of Best Musical Album for Children for his Razor & Tie release THE SUNNY SIDE OF THE STREET. It's Lithgow's fourth nomination, but his first in this category.

BRONX IN BLUE is the critically acclaimed album from Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Dion DiMucci. It was originally released digitally by The Orchard with a limited retail distribution. The album, which Rolling Stone called "stunning", is a 14-track all-acoustic blues collection that highlights the music that first inspired Dion as a child growing up in the Bronx. With songs by Robert Johnson, Willie Dixon, Jimmy Rogers, Hank Williams, Lightnin' Hopkins and Jimmy Reed, the collection is a soulful tour de force for Dion, not only in his familiar role as a magnificently interpretive vocalist but also as a brilliantly innovative guitarist. "If You Wanna Rock & Roll", a new Dion original, is written in the spirit of the blues classics that are heard in BRONX IN BLUE.

THE SUNNY SIDE OF THE STREET features cover versions of classic songs from The Great American Songbook including, "Getting To Know You" and "Inka Dinka Doo", with decidedly animated performances geared towards children. Produced by JC Hopkins (Victoria Williams, JC Hopkins Biggish Band featuring Norah Jones), the album features guest appearances by Madeleine Peyroux, Wayne Knight (Seinfeld’s Newman), Broadway’s Sherie Rene Scott ("Aida", "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels") and cabaret star Maude Maggart.

In addition, Razor & Tie distributed label Sh-k-boom/Ghostlight picks up a nomination in the Best Musical Show Album category, for THE DROWSY CHAPERONE. Sh-k-boom/Ghostlight Records has become one of the foremost labels for musical theater albums, having been nominated for 55 industry nominations, including 18 Tony Award nominations. Their catalogue includes many of the top shows on Broadway along with solo recordings of top Broadway performers Adam Pascal, Christine Ebersole, and Patti LuPone.
