AWARD-WINNING PERFORMER JOHN LITHGOW INKS WITH RAZOR & TIE WORLDWIDE; "THE SUNNY SIDE OF THE STREET" DUE OUT AUGUST 29TH

(New York, NY) - Razor & Tie Entertainment has announced the signing of award-winning entertainer John Lithgow to a worldwide recording contract. Lithgow will join the label's esteemed children's music roster, with a new album due out on August 29th, 2006. THE SUNNY SIDE OF THE STREET will feature cover versions of classic songs from The Great American Songbook including, "Getting To Know You" and "Inka Dinka Doo", with decidedly animated performances geared towards children. Produced by JC Hopkins (Victoria Williams, JC Hopkins Biggish Band featuring Norah Jones), the album features guest appearances by Madeleine Peyroux, Wayne Knight (Seinfeld's Newman), Broadway's Sherie Rene Scott ("Aida", "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels") and cabaret star Maude Maggart.

Lithgow is no stranger to the world of children's entertainment; he is the best-selling author of six illustrated books, as well as instructional titles including Lithgow Palooza: 101 Ways to Entertain and Inspire Your Kids, released in April 2004, which received the Parents' Choice Silver Honor Award. He has also performed in numerous concerts for children across the country - including four appearances at Carnegie Hall and shows with the Chicago, San Diego, Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Detroit Symphony Orchestras, the New York Pops Orchestra and the Orchestra of Saint Luke's - as well as with New York City Ballet in Carnival of the Animals. Lithgow has also released two CDs for children: FARKLE & FRIENDS and SINGIN' IN THE BATHTUB.

Lithgow will be bringing his unique brand of children's entertainment to Mag Rack's on-demand program, KIDS CLUB, as the host of "John Lithgow's Paloozaville", an original 20-part series based on his bestselling children's books, CDs, and live performances. He has also partnered with Knowledge Adventure, the leader in educational software for the home and the classroom, to create Books By You, a new software product designed to allow kids eight and up to create, edit, illustrate and personalize books that celebrate the storyteller in each child and inspire reading. The title will be available at retail outlets throughout North America this September.

Razor & Tie Co-Owners Cliff Chenfeld and Craig Balsam commented, "John Lithgow is a renaissance man, someone who has entertained in every conceivable medium. His music and personality are a gift to kids and parents alike. We are very proud that he has chosen to work with us."

Lithgow is an award-winning actor, singer and author. A veteran of stage, screen and television, he has received two Tony Awards, three Emmys, a Golden Globe, two SAG Awards and an American Comedy Award. He was most recently seen on Broadway in "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels".

Razor & Tie is responsible for the KIDZ BOP CD series, the top-selling children's audio products in the U.S. Since their introduction in 2001, KIDZ BOP titles have sold over 7 million copies and are the best known brand in children's music. KIDZ BOP 9 entered the Billboard Top 200 Album chart at #2, the highest debut for a kids' album in the history of the Billboard charts and the highest debut ever for the label. With KIDZ BOP leading the way, Razor & Tie has become a significant player in the kids' entertainment market. Other kids' music projects include a chart-topping music video DVD from award-winning kids' music star Laurie Berkner (released in conjunction with Starbucks) and a CD from three-time Grammy award-winner Tom Chapin.

The Lithgow Palooza Company, the brainchild of John Lithgow and Broadthink, was launched in 2003 as a result of the success of Lithgow's many award-winning original properties for children. The company's mission is to be a resource for parents to inspire creativity in their children with a special focus on all the arts. The Lithgow Palooza Company is developing a range of properties designed to provide quality artistic experiences and irrepressible family entertainment. Some of the properties are even secretly educational. All are designed for distribution across the spectrum of channels from filmed entertainment to books, CDs, interactive software, merchandise and promotions in support of national non-profit literacy programs.

RAZOR & TIE SIGNS SINGER-SONGWRITER ALEXI MURDOCH TO DISTRIBUTION DEAL VIA MURDOCH'S OWN ZERO SUMMER LABEL; DEBUT ALBUM "TIME WITHOUT CONSEQUENCE" DUE OUT JUNE 6TH

(New York, NY)- Razor & Tie Entertainment has announced the signing of singer-songwriter Alexi Murdoch to a national distribution deal, via Murdoch's own Zero Summer label. Murdoch's self-produced, debut full-length release, TIME WITHOUT CONSEQUENCE, is due out on June 6th.

UK native Murdoch moved to Los Angeles in 2002 where he immediately caught the attention of KCRW's Nic Harcourt. Harcourt began spinning four of Murdoch's self-recorded songs on "Morning Becomes Eclectic". The reaction to the demos necessitated Murdoch releasing them as the FOUR SONGS EP, which has since sold in excess of 45,000 copies on Zero Summer.
